Experienced, versatile and highly professional, Jason Dasey has the unique distinction of having held high-profile positions at the world’s three largest TV networks – CNN, BBC and ESPN.
In 1994, Jason became Australia’s first newsreader on BBC World TV in London. Five years later, he was the first Aussie anchor on CNN’s World Sport, broadcasting to more than 200 countries from its Atlanta headquarters.
Jason has also been at the forefront of ESPN’s international expansion. For almost five years, he was the senior host of the award-winning SportsCenter Asia, a nightly news show for south-east Asia, as well as SportsCenter India and Sportsline for the subcontinent, anchoring more than 1000 programs.
In addition to daily news shows, Jason anchored live sporting events like Grand Slam Tennis, International Cricket and Rugby, Formula One Motor Racing and the 2006 FIFA World Cup from Germany where he was an on-site host and roving reporter in Germany.
Since December 2006, Jason has been based at ESPN headquarters in Connecticut, co-anchoring SportsCenter for Australia and New Zealand and a different version for Africa and the Middle East. His recent assignments have included the 2008 Masters at Augusta and the 2008 French Open in Paris, plus feature interviews with sports legends like George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard and Nadia Comaneci
In radio, Jason reported extensively for BBC World Service from the United States. He also contributed to The Sports Factor on Radio National and Up All Night on ABC Radio and was a regular voice-over artist for promos and commercials at ESPN/STAR Sports in Singapore.
